The Devil

The Devil sits upon his throne of darkness, bonding mortals below. This card represents not a external physical bondage, but more often an internal emotional or spiritual one. You are being confined by your own shadow. You may feel you can't leave an undesireable situation or relationship because of your own fear, addition, or self-sabotage. This may also apply to relationships, where the lovers (pictured in the card) have become co-dependent, or bound by marital problems they refuse to address.
